SHOWUP early-access terms

These terms describe the basic rules for using SHOWUP during early access.

Adults only

You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a SHOWUP dating profile.

Be genuine

Use accurate information about yourself. Do not impersonate another person, create deceptive profiles, scam members, solicit money or use SHOWUP to harass, threaten or exploit anybody.

Respect and consent

Mutual interest, sending or receiving a virtual gift, or responding to a gift does not create an obligation to chat, meet, continue a date or have any physical contact. Members can change their mind at any time. Gifts do not override blocking, matching, privacy, safety or membership controls.

SHOWUP Gifts and Credits

SHOWUP may offer virtual credits that can be used for optional in-app gifts such as hearts, roses or flowers. Virtual gifts are digital features only and have no cash value. Sending a gift is a signal of interest and does not guarantee a response, match, conversation or date. We may limit gift frequency or restrict the feature to prevent spam, harassment, fraud or misuse.

Gift credits are available as one-time purchases: 20 credits for £1.99, 60 for £4.99 or 150 for £9.99. There is no subscription or automatic renewal for gift credits. Prices are shown before you pay through Stripe. Credits are added to the signed-in account after payment confirmation, have no cash value, cannot be transferred and do not currently expire. Gift costs are shown before sending; receiving gifts is free. Gift credits are separate from ghost credits. For payment problems or a refund request, contact nextupapp.uk@gmail.com and include your Stripe receipt. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Membership

Creating a profile, discovering members and showing initial interest may be available without a paid membership. Some communication or other features may require an active membership. Any applicable price and renewal information should be shown before a member completes a paid purchase.

Next 50 men: two months free

The next 50 eligible new male members who join after this campaign launches and complete their dating profile receive two calendar months of free membership, starting when their place is awarded. One place per account, first come first served on profile completion. Existing memberships, prior paid members, admin and test profiles are excluded. Places are not reopened after deletion. No card is required and the offer does not create a paid subscription or automatically renew. At expiry, continuing private chat requires a separate paid choice at the price shown then. Virtual gift credits are separate. Safety, verification and mutual-match requirements still apply. Existing six-month-free memberships retain their original expiry.

Real photos and optional selfie comparison

Do not use AI-generated faces, stolen photographs, face-changing filters or misleading edits. You may optionally submit a private camera selfie for human comparison with your main profile photo. The check is free, optional, and not government-ID or live-person verification. Selfie image bytes are erased after review or after 30 days if not reviewed, and you can withdraw the request.

Your content

You are responsible for profile information, photos and messages you provide. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use or private information belonging to somebody else.

Early-access service

SHOWUP is still being developed. Features may change, be limited or temporarily unavailable while we improve security, verification, matching, messaging, gifts and other dating features.

Safety enforcement

We may restrict or remove access where reasonably necessary to protect members, investigate misuse or comply with legal obligations.
